La Bergerie II

Pouli Mykonos GRE

Involvement:

Construction Supervision and Management

Designed for a client seeking a retreat that blends seamlessly with the natural Cycladic landscape, La Bergerie II embodies a thoughtful balance of traditional design and contemporary living. In collaboration with GAIN, Mykonos Architects oversaw a project that presented unique construction challenges, including adapting rocky, uneven terrain to create a secure foundation for the main house, guest accommodations, and auxiliary spaces. The planning and execution prioritized preserving the natural contours of the site while meeting the client’s vision for a harmonious and functional space.

Locally sourced Cycladic stone was carefully incorporated to integrate the structures into their surroundings, with skilled craftsmanship applied to every detail. The logistical complexities of working on an island, from material transportation to coordinating workflows, were effectively managed to ensure the project’s completion. La Bergerie II is a residence that reflects the client’s aspirations while respecting the natural and architectural heritage of Mykonos.
